Project: Design! features six of St. Louis’ hottest clothing designers: Lesley Timpe, Paul Gibson, Ashley Dayley, Felicia Pease, Kay Oss and Suzanne Lay. The event will be held at the Contemporary Art Museum and will be an exhibition of fashion followed by a runway show featuring one of LA’s top independent clothing designers--Rochelle Rodriguez. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase some of the pieces at the end of the night—so they can don the style for the rest of the week.

Highly sought-after fashion designers Rachel Pally, Laurel Berman of Black Halo and Shay Wilson of Kinetix descend on St. Louis for fashion shows featuring their Fall 2008 Collections. The runways will sparkle and pop during this unprecedented night of fashion, showcasing three designers whose followings include celebrities Sarah Jessica Parker, Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Alba and Teri Hatcher.

All eyes will be on the runways for breathtaking blow–your-high-waisted-wide-legged-pants-off shows by Tiffany Alana, Phyl Couture, Katie Kantley, Sohung Designs, Miacro, Lyndsy Walker, English Clientele and Zeto.

Established in 1929, Washington University’s four-year fashion design program is the oldest in the country. Graduating students have gone on to work for such fashion houses as Christian Dior, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. This year, juniors and 11 seniors will reveal their impressive projects in a runway show titled “Class is in Session”; spectators will enjoy fi ve exciting segments: ball gowns, suits, day dresses, tailored coats and evening dresses with matching coats.
