About the Presenters:

Frances Harder is a designer, entrepreneur and founder of the Los Angeles-based Fashion Business Inc. (FBI), an educational non-profit organization providing business intelligence and support to smaller creative apparel companies. Bringing many years of experience in the industry, Frances presents seminars, publishes books, CD's and DVD's to further educate and assist those interested in creating a start-up, keeping their business on track, and growing and expanding their business. Frances shows designers step by step, how to create and grow a successful business in the fashion industry.

Susan Power, founder + principal of AboutSources, publishes the leading fabric & trim sourcing guides for apparel & accessories manufacturers since 1988. In 2005, she established The Resource Room (RRAG) - a sourcing center featuring an all fibers, all fabrics, & trimming library in the NYC Garment. Additionally, AboutSources produces seminars & events at the Resource Room. Susan understands the issues facing manufacturers sourcing materials since she has been both a designer/seller of textiles & trims and a designer/buyer for her own childrenswear collection! Knowing first hand the challenges facing a start up company - she shares her knowledge of suppliers, and sourcing tips with new and established designers/ manufacturers seeking to find resources.
