What is a Vics Hanger?  Is this a particular brand of clothing hanger???
 
First of all "Vics" is an acronym, for The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions Association.  Now, lets discuss what this association does...  The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) Association has enabled companies in the retail and consumer-focused industries to eliminate billions of dollars of waste and delay.   They have achieved this by creating voluntary guidelines, often referred to as “standards.”  VICS has created new best practices that ultimately lead to lower costs and better availability of products for consumers.  VICS’ volunteer members improve the flow of products and information throughout retailing and the consumer-focused industries that supply retail.  The Association provides leadership and an environment in which executives can make a difference in their industry, their company performance- and their personal commitment to make the world work a little better.
 
The mission of VICS is to remove impediments to the smooth flow of merchandise to the store floor.  Reduce inventory handling costs, cycle time to get product to floor, and increase sales.  VICS being a leader in the industry, must take responsibility for providing the membership with sustainable hanger options. They believe that contributing to a more sustainable environment is good business practice and the right thing to do for the future generations. 
 
Hanger suppliers have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in improving the environment.  Hanger companies can do so by using resources more efficiently, providing an 'eco-friendly' product that meets expectations and striving to reduce the overall impact on the environment.
 
 
You should use VICS-approved hangers for your shipments to those many major retail stores that participate in the VICS (Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Standards) or GOH (Garment on Hanger) programs.  Here are a few hanger suppliers that may be able to assist you with the purchase of VICS Hangers.
