Federated Department Stores, Inc. today announced the construction of a new Macy's store at the Promenade Mall in Temecula, CA.
The new Macy's store will be a two-level, full-line department store, excluding furniture, of 165,000 square feet. Construction is scheduled to begin this month with a store opening planned for fall 2002.

Sullivan, chairman and ceo of Macy's West. "We look forward to serving the Temecula market with our new store at the Promenade Mall."
Federated's Macy's West division is headquartered in San Francisco and currently operates 136 stores. Annual 2000 sales totaled $4.26 billion.
