Gadzooks, Inc. (Nasdaq: GADZ) announced that sales for the four weeks of fiscal November ended November 30, 2002 increased 1.3 percent to $23.8 million from $23.5 million for fiscal November 2001. Comparable store sales decreased 1.2 percent for the November period, compared to an 8.8 percent decline for fiscal November of 2001.
For the first 43 weeks of fiscal 2002, total sales increased 5.2 percent to $252.5 million from $240.1 million for the comparable period of fiscal 2001. Comparable store sales have declined 3.3 percent for the first 43 weeks of fiscal 2002, versus a 5.9 percent decrease for the first 43 weeks of fiscal 2001.
