TUNICA, Miss., July 2 / Casino Factory Shoppes, located just 20 minutes south of Memphis on Hwy 61 at the entrance to the Tuncia casinos, announced the Grand Opening of GAP Outlet to be held on Monday, July 2, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. The 9,000 s.f. Erica Rideout, of Sundance Associates, which handles leasing for Casino Factory Shoppes, said she believed GAP Outlet to be one of the most desirable brands for the market. "On-site consumer surveys have consistently listed GAP Outlet in the top five most-highly-requested brands. I expect they will do extremely well in this market." "The Grand Opening will feature a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, and we invite the public to participate. We'd recommend you arrive early, as we'll be celebrating with lots of shopping sprees giveaways, as well as a free gift for the first 100 customers," stated Grady. Several other renowned manufacturers have recently joined the tenant roster at Casino Factory Shoppes including a Danskin Outlet which opened Memorial Day weekend. V.F. Warehouse is a new clearance concept for V.F. Corporation, manufacturers of Wrangler and Lee brands, Jantzen sportswear and swimwear, Healthtex childrenswear and Vanity Fair lingerie. "Bargain hunters love this store!" Grady declared. "Last week I overheard one of the customers who had just purchased a pair of cotton jeans for herself for $3.00, and a Nike swimsuit for her sister for $7.00. Her exclamation, 'this is real outlet shopping' said it all." The continued growth of Casino Factory Shoppes is due to strong sales numbers accomplished by retailers in spite of the overall weakening of the retail sector in the past 6 months. "Retailers can count on continued growth and success in Tunica as a major tourism and gaming destination," stated Grady. "The airport expansion and riverfront part development in Tunica are just two new developments which will draw more tourists each year.
