New York, NY - Rockers Worldwide, Inc., presents It's Dangerous Fashion Showcase and Launch Event, an invitation-only North American media launch of the "Rockers" clothing line. The flavor of the evening will be a celebration of the spirit, energy, and style of the 1979 Jamaican cult classic movie Rockers.

The event is set for Tuesday May 25th from 7- 11pm at Freight, 410 West 16th Street, between 9 & 10th Avenue in New York City. RSVP@rockersthemovie.com to attend.

This multimedia presentation will include: -A fashion showcase of the women's spring collection and preview of the men and women's fall collection. -Music provided by special guest DJ's Jabba and Bobby Konders from New York's Hot 97 FM radio station spinning dub classics and new dancehall. - Live scheduled performances from sexy female Jamaican recording artists Tami Chin and Calibe. -Rockers video and visuals provided by Jamaican video director Storm Saulter.

The collection is inspired by a distinctive design reference to Caribbean, Rastafarian and Reggae Culture. The men's collection has military looks, t-shirts, retro fit track suits, plus an emphasis on the vintage "dandy" look.

Jamaican recording artist Tami Chin has just completed new videos wearing Rockers. Jamaican recording artist Calibe just completed a European tour wearing Rockers for her performances. Celebrity placement for Rockers women's include Alicia Keys, Brandy, Tami Chin, Calibe, Angie Martinez (Hot 97 DJ), Sunny (Hot97 DJ), Jerry Wonder, Wyclef Jean, and Lennox Lewis. Rockers - The Movie: Rockers, is a reggae musical, comedy, and adventure set in Jamaica and starring singers and musicians of reggae's Golden Age. The film was produced by Patrick Hulsey and written and directed by Theodorus Bafaloukos. Rockers made its' premiere at the 1978 San Francisco Film Festival and was invited to the 1979 Los Angeles Film Exposition and the 1979 Cannes Film Festival. In 1980, Rockers was released and distributed by New Yorker Film in the U.S. The film stars Jacob Miller, Gregory Isaacs, Richard "Dirty Harry" Hall, Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, Burning Spear, Robbie Shakespeare, Big Youth, amongst others.
