Gerber Technology announces the launch of NESTERpack™ and NESTERserver® V6, Gerber’s quick and efficient automatic optimization and marker making solutions. NESTERpack is an innovative new software product that optimizes existing computer generated markers or nests. Markers are shortened and, when instructed, pieces within the marker automatically rotate, flip and/or tilt, providing further material savings. Operating on its own or in conjunction with NESTERserver, NESTERpack provides tremendous cost and time savings. NESTERpack seamlessly integrates with Gerber AccuMark®, the world’s leading apparel CAD design suite, and is available exclusively through Gerber’s distribution network.

“NESTERpack is an affordable optimization package with the potential for yielding an instant return on its investment. Processing just one commonly used marker, with material savings of up to 2%, can generate immediate overall savings and payback,” commented Sabrena McBride, Director of Software Product Management. “We’re excited to add such a powerful solution to our GERBERsuite® of products.”

NESTERserver V6 delivers new automatic nesting capabilities and performance enhancements, including the ability to nest sectional and tubular markers, block-fuse parts and construct/bump lines. Existing NESTERserver users can experience an average 0.11% improvement in material yields, leading to bottom-line cost savings. NESTERserver is also fully integrated with AccuMark and provides a fast ROI through savings in time, money and labor costs.

“Gerber continues to support our customer base by listening to their needs and those of the industry,” added Sabrena McBride. “In doing so, we’re constantly evolving our product lines. With NESTERserver V6, we’ve responded to customer requests by including automated tubular and sectional marker making. Looking ahead, I’m extremely pleased to announce the development of automatic stripe and plaid matching. This important new capability will be made available in conjunction with the next major NESTERserver release.”

NESTERpack and NESTERserver are simple to operate and require minimal operator training. Markers can be processed unattended, freeing work staff to concentrate on more specialized tasks. Both products are compatible with AccuMark V7 and V8. Gerber’s Software Subscription Contracts (SSC) are available for NESTERpack and NESTERserver, providing users with ongoing software updates and access to technical support. Existing NESTERserver SSC customers can download the latest NESTERserver release from GERBERnet™, the company’s new Internet-based customer service portal for software updates, replacement parts ordering and comprehensive technical documentation. Access to GERBERnet is provided via www.gerbertechnology.com.

Trial versions of NESTERpack and NESTERserver will soon be made available to all customers who purchase a Gerber AccuMark system. Trial versions are also available upon request. Gerber invites interested customers to take advantage of these opportunities to experience first-hand substantial time and cost savings.
