The Corriedale breed originated in New Zealand from Lincoln and Leicester x
Merino crosses and was imported into the U.S. in 1914. Corriedales are a
medium-sized, white-faced breed that is well adapted to the farm flock states.
They are prolific, good mothers, produce good market lambs and yield heavy,
medium-wool fleeces with good staple length and lustre.
