Buffalo by David Bitton      Fashion Week LA March 2006

LA Fashion Show Fashion  +  Fashion Industry News  + Design Studio

This funky Canadian denim brand showed for the second season in LA, presenting a well-merchandised lifestyle-driven collection.  Pack your Ghurka weekend bags urban scenesters, and don't forget the oilcloth parka because BUFFALO's super stars this season seem to be sexy woods-women and their muscular arm candy. Everything was low-slung, slouchy, tucked into construction boots, topped off with a knit beanie and covered in a sheepskin vest.  A neutral autumn palette of olive, khaki, gold and red pepper worked equally well for the alpine guys and gals, as well as tyrolean-inspired embroidery and faded fauna graphics.

Speaking with designer David Bitton after the show, he seemed excited and happy to be participating in LA again, albeit visibly tired.  Perhaps his self-proclaimed mission of delivering young, sexy and butt-lifting
separates to his loyal global following leaves him well, a little deflated.
