Samora Presents Masculine / Feminine for Fall 2007

LA Designer Samora Olayan at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios

WHAT: Designer Samora Olayan will present Fall 2007 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studio for her eighth consecutive season in a row. For Fall 07, designer Samora Olayan was inspired by the masculine / feminine,
I looked to the optimism of the empowered woman of the 40s and 50s, when women embraced a more masculine silhouette without losing her feminine mystique.
A mature woman, sophisticated and sexy who has shed her innocent past, is the icon for Samora's Fall look.

Menswear inspired silhouettes and materials will be seen on the runway. Fall fabrications include checkered wools and mohair, as well as winter tweeds with touches of feminine detailing like embroidery and jewel-toned silks. Samora chose fall patterns in neutral browns and black highlighted with hints of bright colors in a palette of earthy colors: moss green, bright mustard and shades of red and blue.
