PETER COHEN

FASHION WEEK LOS ANGELES, APRIL 2003

Continuing in the minimalist tradition, this darling of the Barneys crowd showed an entirely wearable collection for women and men working on a single palette of warm earthy neutrals and luxurious fibers.  A serious New York crowd graced the front row, with all major editors present.  Most silhouettes were comfortably proportioned, classically refined and intended for multitasking in the urban landscape.  Sueded separates were on offer for both women and men, as were alpaca, ultra suede and goatskin.  All models reflected the designer's vision of severe chic, sporting sleek ponytails and smokey kohl eyes.  Adoring fans including Lilly Tomlin and her entourage rushed backstage following the show to congratulate their smiling, good-natured friend.
