An accomplished wardrobe stylist, Magda Berlinger's passion
for one-off vintage pieces is clearly apparent in her seasonal collections.
During her years as a print and video tastemaker, Magda always led the pack in
sniffing out emerging designers, paired flee-market finds with European couture
and embellished beautifully on the essence of each personality she dressed. If
you knew firsthand the effortless artistry of her daily life, you
d also want
her to design your clothes and style every camera-ready moment of your reality
Magda's presentation for Spring 04 was set in gallery format at
The Standard with mannequins and seated models showcasing a capsule
collection of tie-die loungewear separates, soft ticking stripe tunics and
several outstanding pieces combining chain maille and leather. The
piece de resistance and obvious editorial favourite was a gorgeous
series of ribbon and lace dresses, all in vintage cream. The coveted
rouched goatskin gladiator boots worn by the models were also her own.
