Farfetch purchased Style.com in 2017 from Conde Nast.

Farfetch, the brand and retail platform founded by José Neves in 2008 and valued in excess of $1 billion, has purchased the domain name and intellectual property of Style.com

Condé Nast's foray into e-commerce has come to an end with the sale of Style.com to Farfetch and the formation of a new "content and commerce" partnership between the global retail platform and the publisher.

According to a Los Angeles Times article by Samantha Conti | WWD June 13, 2017, "A tech connection has also been created, enabling Farfetch to integrate its products into Condé Nast's content, while shopping guides created by Condé Nast's publications will highlight products from Farfetch, which sources items from more than 500 luxury boutiques worldwide and offers customers nine language options and same-day delivery in 10 cities."

Historical reference regarding Style.com

STYLE.COM, was a CondéNet site, is one of the most excellent fashion websites today. Certainly, the Apparel Search Company has wonderful fashion sites, but we must say that Style.com by CondéNet is a wonderful example of what can be developed with the proper resources. Style.com is a member of the Advance Publications family, which includes CondéNet, Condé Nast, and Fairchild Publications. They certainly have great experience in fashion media both online as well as offline.

Style.com helps extend the editorial authority of Vogue and W magazines to the Internet. Offering comprehensive runway coverage with tons of fashion photos, authoritative trend reporting, the latest social, celebrity and fashion news and interactive forums on every aspect of the fashion industry. STYLE.COM offers visitors a complete fashion experience. Based in New York, STYLE.COM launched in September 2000 and has been growing steadily ever since.

From the Style.com website you can learn about Ready-to-wear, Couture, Trend Reports, Shopping and more. They occasionally have special areas on the site for locating style trends such as the spring wrapup, editors picks, and fashion forum. If you are solely interested in the shopping experience, you can try the shopping forum or shopper guides. They often create new and exciting categories for your review. We suggest you stop by their site often to stay up to date with what is happening in fashion.

On our own Fashion Industry Network website, we have seen that many people have listed Style.com as their favorite website. Certainly, we would have preferred for everyone to choose Apparel Search as their favorite. But we understand that their is room for us all on the internet... Anyway, we give Style.com two thumbs up...
