From June 17 to 20, the 9^th edition of the Montréal Fashion and Design Festival will once again take over the city’s renowned and prestigious McGill College Avenue between Sainte-Catherine and Maisonneuve. Drawing huge crowds in 2008, this wildly successful event has become the rendez-vous of choice for local fashionistas and shopaholics as well as tourists. The upcoming edition promises to be more spectacular than ever, with a varied program showcasing fashion, dance, multimedia presentations, entertainment along with the most novel shopping activities. Working in conjunction with various downtown partners, this year’s Festival will set the beat for the summer season and introduce the world to Montreal, City of Design.  

Fashion moves into the street

This 9^th edition of the Montréal Fashion and Design Festival will present the very latest creations of more than a hundred of Canada’s most prolific designers, retailers and manufacturers in unique concepts that merge the various facets of design. Not only does the Festival make it possible to discover the collections of such well-known retailers as Guess, Foxy Jeans / Bauhaus, Love Hate, Le Château, Tiger, Soaked, and The Bay, as well as the various labels found at Eaton Centre Montréal, Complexe Les Ailes and Place Montréal Trust, it is also a unique opportunity to see upcoming collections as you’ve never experienced them, to the rhythm of DJs and special guests… 

Fashion Music at its best

In a concept true to the event, this year, Fashion and Music will be more ubiquitous than ever.  With performances by up-and-coming local artists as well as international performers, festivalgoers will get a chance to see their favourites perform in events designed and staged specifically for the Festival. And for the night owls, days will run into the wee hours of the morning at Montréal bars and lounges welcoming the fashion crowds to glamorous parties.
