The Fall II/holiday 2011 Los Angeles Fashion Market (LA Fashion Market) at the California Market Center (CMC) took place Monday, June 13, 2011 – Thursday, June 16, 2011, welcoming thousands of retailers from across the globe to SELECT Contemporary Tradeshow, FOCUS Apparel & Accessories Show, TRANSIT LA Shoe Show and hundreds of the CMC's permanent showrooms. Retailers arrived in surges, forming long lines at Registration over the Market's four days, which also hosted a packed F2 Runway Show, Opening Night Cocktail Reception and array of buyer perks.

Showrooms on the fifth floor reported buyers were eager to order new merchandise. "This was the best June Market of my career," said David Perlman of PerlmanRep Showroom. "I was showing my new Kersh Holiday collection to 6 stores at a time for half of the day. It was crazy busy."

Richard Barnard, a buyer for JMR Chalk Garden & Lola Bella, was one of the many retailers who arrived at the CMC ready to write. "I bought a ton of Bindi style bracelets from Mindy Lubell on 10A and handbags from Richard Aruj.  I haven't missed a Show here in over 25 years."

Items up for raffle included a dress by SELECT exhibitor Twinkle by Wenlan, boots by TRANSIT exhibitor The Frye Company and jewelry by FOCUS exhibitor Mon Bijou.

One of the busiest locations during Market was SELECT Contemporary Tradeshow, showcasing a juried selection of upscale contemporary brands.  SELECT took place Monday, June 13, 2011 - Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in the Fashion Theater and featured Pour La Victoire, Poleci, Bella Luxx, Twinkle by Wenlan, Deepa Gurnani, Sam Edelman, Minnie Rose, Boutique 9, Gorjana, Sophie Monet Jewelry, Royal Plush, Magaschoni, Joan and David and many more.  SELECT show sponsors included Urth Caffé Downtown, Vita Coco, GlamGlow and POP Beauty.

New York based cashmere line Minnie Rose also met with a steady stream of West Coast boutiques from Los Angeles, Palm Desert and Sonoma, including Planet Blue. "We were non-stop busy this entire Show," said sales rep Vanessa Rojas.  "We did some amazing business and will definitely be back."

Dale Pike of Deepa Gurnani added, "The traffic at SELECT was unbelievable. I didn't take one break the first day and met with accounts from territories I don't usually hit such as Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. Buyers were interested in all my accessories categories too which resulted in good quality orders."

"The Runway Show was great for us," said Candice Holmes of Zuur Jeans.  "It generated a great buzz and brought in a significant amount of buyers."

The B-wing of the Penthouse (13th floor) hosted TRANSIT LA Shoe Show,  showcasing hundreds of contemporary shoe collections including  Jeffrey Campbell, Irregular Choice, Report Signature, DV by Dolce Vita, Steve Madden, Kelsi Dagger, Matiko, Gee Wawa, All Black, Vince Camuto, Jessica Simpson, L.A.M.B., Badgley Mischka, Donald J Pliner, The Frye Company, Seychelles, Calvin Klein and many more.
