Mockingbird Station’s newest retailer Student Body which offers one-of-a-kind collegiate wear, will be setting up a temporary shop later this month in order to service customers for the holidays. While the permanent space (in the Station’s recently completed Phase III development) will open in early December, shoppers can visit Student Body’s temporary location on the east side of the property (where Counter Culture used to be) to get a head start on their shopping.

Once the 9,000-square-foot, two-story retail storefront is finished, Student Body will house five separate “shops within a shop,” featuring traditional, authentic items from five colleges: University of Oklahoma, Texas Tech, University of Texas, Texas A&M and Southern Methodist. Initially only fans of those colleges will be able to find exactly what they want to support their team of choice, though the store may expand in the future to include additional Big 12 schools.

“Big-name athletic apparel is always offered with logos and multiple shirts, caps, and other items,” said Pablo Hernandez, vice president of Student Body Co-Op. “We know true fans want real tradition from the schools they love – not just the logos, but verbiage familiar only to those who know their alma maters and symbols recognized only by the die-hard fans. We’ve researched each of the colleges represented in our store, and understand the authenticity of what our fans want. We believe those fans will find it refreshing the minute they walk into Student Body.”
