Since the weather was amazing last weekend, a friend of mine was walking around Soho (with her dog Lulu - an adorable French bulldog) and dropped by some boutiques. She noticed that most women were gravitating more toward dresses. She told me that she then got to thinking that it makes perfect sense for a dress to be top of mind. While everyone is a bit more reluctant to spend money, the dress is actually a great investment piece. It is a complete look, all in one. You can wear in the colder months by adding some tights, a long sleeve tee to go underneath or a blazer or caridgan to throw on top. You can easily switch up the look with a pair of heels or flats and take it from day to night. Since we love fashion and still need to shop (even during these tough economic times), the dress seems to be the perfect retail therapy solution to the present day condundrum.
