Charming Shoppes, Inc., (Nasdaq: CHRS), a leading retail apparel chain specializing in women's plus- size apparel, today reported that total sales for the four weeks ended November 27, 2004 increased 4% to $176,400,000 from $169,600,000 for the four weeks ended November 29, 2003. Comparable store sales for Charming Shoppes, Inc. increased 3% for the four weeks ended November 27, 2004.

Charming Shoppes' total sales for the forty-three weeks ended November 27, 2004 increased 3% to $1,920,400,000 from $1,861,400,000 for the forty-three weeks ended November 29, 2003. Comparable store sales increased 2% for the forty-three weeks ended November 27, 2004.
