Here is a little history regarding the Duofold brand. As reported on Bloomberg News on August 4, 1999, "The Sara Lee Corporation, maker of clothing brands that include Hanes and Playtex, will pay $95.7 million in cash to buy two businesses from Dawson International P.L.C. to increase its European sales. The companies signed a letter of intent last month and have received American regulatory approval. Dawson, based Scotland, said it was selling its Duofold and J E Morgan brands to focus on making cashmere products. With the purchase, Sara Lee, based in Chicago, expands its business in brand-name clothing, which generates more than a third of its annual revenue, and extends its foothold in Europe."
In 2006, the US-based Hanesbrands Inc, which was spun off by the Sara Lee Corporation, owns brands such as which are Hanes, Champion, Playtex, Wonderbra, Duofold among many others.
