A lined jacket is basically putting a layer of material on the inside of the garment.  It is an added layer that gets attached to the primary garment material.  Lining is typically used on suit jackets, but can be used on other types of jackets as well.  Jacket lining is used for a variety of reasons.  Sometimes for visual effect, comfort, quality, and utility.  Some jackets are fully lined while others are half-lined or partially lined.

Unlined jackets simply mean that they are made with no lining material.  The jacket is simply the fabric of the jacket.

A women's jacket is an outer garment extending either to the waist or the hips, typically having sleeves and a fastening down the front.  A full zip jacket has a zipper that fully opens (or closes) the front of the jacket.  This type of jacket can be made from a wide variety of materials.  One of the popular versions would be made of microfleece.  This type of fabric can be used to make a wide variety of jacket styles for women.

Microfleece, also called polar fleece, micro fleece or simply fleece, is a soft, napped, synthetic wool material often made from polyester.  It was first manufactured in 1979 by Malden Mills, now called Polartec LLC.  Microfleece fabric is a thin poly fleece fabric that wicks moisture away from the skin.  The fabric is cuddly soft against the skin.

It is a soft napped insulating fabric made from polyester.  It can be made partially from recycled plastic bottles and is very light, soft, and easy to wash. Polar fleece can stretch more easily in one direction than in others.

A lightweight, warm and soft fabric, fleece has some of wool's good qualities but weighs a fraction of the lightest available woolens. Fleece garments traditionally come in different thicknesses: micro, 100, 200, and 300, with 300 being the thickest and least flexible.  Microfiber (or microfibre) is synthetic fiber finer than one denier or decitex/thread, having a diameter of less than ten micrometres. This is smaller than the diameter of a strand of silk (which is approximately one denier), which is itself about 1/5 the diameter of a human hair.
