Today, 16 Montreal designers will be showing their creations at the Who's Next and Premi re Classe trade event, the prestigious fashion happening unfolding in Paris from September 3 to 6.  An original presentation promoting our local talent, this 100% Montreal fashion show was designed, produced and staged by Sensation Mode in collaboration with the Minist re du Developpement conomique, de lInnovation et de lExportation (MDEIE Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade). Note that, throughout the event, our designers creations will be exhibited in their respective booths.

The 16 participating designers? Andy Th-anh, a va de soi, Dinh B Design, Dom Rebel, Eve Gravel, FINN Cultured + Cured, Harricana by Mariouche, Jak's, Lucky 7, M0851, Mackage, Myco Anna, Ophelie Hats, Parasuco, Uranium as well as Second. Entrusted with the task of embodying, at the very heart of Europe, the urban effervescence of Montreal, they will certainly not go unnoticed, since this fall's edition of Who's Next is highly colorful, while the Montreal delegation has focused on black and white! On the menu: Montreal, creative city, will be showcased before the international press.

An outstanding opportunity

Having the opportunity to appear at a show of this stature is absolutely outstanding, notes Chantal Durivage, co-president of Sensation Mode.  We are most satisfied with the spinoffs resulting from our partnership with Who's Next, a major player on the fashion scene, and are pleased to be able to contribute to the outreach of designers here at home, by offering them virtually unhoped for business opportunities.

Sensation Mode is a Montreal firm specializing in the production of major fashion events both in Canada and abroad.  It is driven by a global vision and a desire to contribute to the outreach and positioning of Montreal as an international City of Design.  We are very proud to help the creative potential of our own designers to be recognized yet again at this year's edition of the Who's Next and Premiere Classe show in Paris, she asserts.

An ever more productive partnership

The ambience is already highly energized, and we are all most delighted to present our creations in the fashion capital, notes Eric Wazana, the Second Clothing designer. Buyers are everywhere, and I am hoping to attract the attention of industry professionals from Europe and elsewhere. Viva Paris!

The current Paris fashion show takes the partnership concluded two years ago between Sensation Mode and Who's Next one notch higher.  If the 2008 Montreal delegation met with great success when it exhibited its creations in Paris, the 2009 delegation is adding a major fashion presentation to its roster of achievements.

The presence of Montreal designers in Paris has been rendered possible by the participation of Sensation Mode, Who's Next and Premi re Classe, the Minist re du D veloppement conomique, de lnnovation et de Exportation (MDEIE Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade), the Quebec General Delegation in Paris as well as the Office franco-qu b cois pour la jeunesse (Franco-qu bec Office for Youth).
