After a week of parties, runway shows, daytime shopping events, and reality star cameos, the heels are off, and the tents are down from the sixth annual Charleston Fashion Week®. The 2012 fashion event was bigger and better than ever, with record attendance, sponsor participation, national and international media impressions, and expected economic impact.

While emerging talent from numerous genres were showcased throughout the week, 23 year-old Savannah, Georgia resident Hannah Goff captured Charleston Fashion Week's 2012 Emerging Designer Competition: East title with her the bold prints, immaculate construction, and resin-casted accessories that illustrated the collection's juxtaposition between high fashion and practicality. Goff was one of 20 semifinalists selected from 180 applicants to showcase their fall collections throughout Charleston Fashion Week®. Five moved on to showcase their full collections on Saturday night in front of celebrity judges and esteemed designers Chris Benz, Lindsey Carter, Mychael Knight, Vanessa Lachey, Fern Mallis, K. Cooper Ray, Cameron Silver, and ELLE's own Anne Slowey.

In addition, the 2012 participating models were also the stars of Charleston Fashion Week® and were recognized on Friday, March 23rd with the Rock The Runway Model Competition. Judges included supermodel and reality TV star personality Cynthia Bailey, top international modeling scout Karen Lee Grybowski, and America's Top Model semifinalist Molly O' Connell. Nikki Jansen and Samuel Roberts walked away with top honors and prizes from the competition.

"We are very pleased with the continued success and growth of Charleston Fashion Week. We would like to thank our sponsors, the community, our employees, the participating retailers, our various vendors for their support, and we look forward to working with them again in 2013," said Jed Drew, co-owner of GulfStream Communications, which owns and produces Charleston Fashion Week as well as Charleston magazine. "Each year we learn from the previous year, with a goal to be bigger and better and to truly highlight the Charleston fashion community, as well as create a pathway to New York for aspiring talent."
