My Fashion Initiative (MFI) is proud to announce the signing of Maritza Marengo as one of their fashion design clients.

I am proud that My Fashion Initiative will be representing Maritza Marengo's fashion labels, says Margaux Rathbun, President of My Fashion Initiative. Maritza's designs are unique, ultra feminine, and will capture fashion enthusiasts from around the world. Her work is simply stunning.

Maritza's desire to become a gifted fashion designer was evident when she took sewing classes while in intermediate school. In these classes, advancement became manifest by her eagerness to learn. On her fifteen birthday, her mother bought her an antique sewing machine. With this gift she created her first pieces of clothing for her mother.  Maritza Marengo continued her education at Luis Munoz Rivera vocational high school in Utuado Puerto Rico, where she studied industrial sewing for three years. She started her college career in Fashion at the Liceo de Arte y Tecnologia, where she graduated with perfect attendance and honors.

"As a designer I focus not only on creating fashion but also on creating fashion with a unique style,
says Maritza. Woman can look attractive and sophisticated everywhere she goes. My passion is to create styles that harmonize with the woman's body. I create styles that enhance woman, that make her look seductive and sophisticated."

Her passion of creating innovative designs inspired Maritza Marengo launch her collection M2, a collection designed for the sophisticated modern woman.

"I think fashion is the bond between those who create a design and those who wear it. Through that bond we can communicate to each other and to express, glamour, elegance, sophistication and sensitivity. I believe in the phrase that "less is more". I believe on the woman who is secure of herself and who likes to wear clothes that make her look unique and special without being exaggerating."
