A holiday party invite is received and the first two things that a woman does are one, check the calendar and two, ask “what am I going to wear?”  Finding holiday party attire doesn’t have to be a daunting task.  Here are some tips for what to look for when choosing your holiday fashions.

Velvet  Velvet is one of the most classic holiday fabrics and it's a great investment to wear year after year. You can go for deep, rich colors like plum or navy, try on gorgeous jewel tones like ruby or emerald, or be classic and timeless with black velvet.

Black Lace  If chic and sexy is the look you are going for then black lace will work  perfectly for your holiday fashions.   You can use black lace to show off peekaboo areas (a bit of cleavage, the arm) without really going too bare (learn more about black color clothing).

Metallics  Show off with  gold, silver, bronze and champagne for the holidays. Metallics can look amazing on everyone when you want to add some holiday shine to your outfit.  Just remember to go with a color that flatters your coloring (silver for cooler skin tones, bronze and gold for warmer skin tones, and champagne works on most skin tones).

Sequins and Beading  These embellishments can be subtle yet stunning with beading on the hems or just around the neckline.  They can also be even more adorning,  just  remember, when wearing sequins and beading it is important to keep the silhouette fresh.   Opt for trapeze or tank dresses, or a cami paired with a classic pencil skirt or trousers.

Red  All shades and any piece of an outfit in red is perfect for holiday fashion.   Just don’t get crazy and go head-to-toe red… Santa might get a little jealous.

The Little Black Dress Always appropriate and classic, the little black dress really can work for any event, holiday or otherwise.  If you go with this timeless choice, try to accessorize with some holiday bling.

What ever you decide to wear, we at Apparel Search believe that you will look very good...  Wear holiday fashion that you would feel comfortable wearing. That is the best choice for "you".
