Venture Corporate Policy
- Excerpt from Corporate Policy regarding Import Purchasing:
- "Venture will not knowingly purchase merchandise from foreign
vendors who utilize child or forced labor."
- Excerpt from Letter of Credit:
- "As manufacturer of Venture Stores, Inc. purchase order number
(s): , we hereby certify that the merchandise described in the
purchase order(s) noted above was manufactured wholly or in part at
(factory name, factory location) . We certify that convict labor
and/or indentured labor under penal sanctions as defined by USA law
as well as child labor as defined by the laws of the country of
origin was not employed in whole or in part in any stage of the
production or manufacture of the merchandise or any material or
component thereof. We further certify that this transaction does not
involve transshipment of merchandise for the purpose of mislabeling,
evading quota or country of origin restrictions or avoiding
compliance with forced labor (as defined by USA law) or child labor
(as defined by the laws of :(country of origin))."
