and windbreakers about 30% of the global supply in the
first 10 months of 2005.
There are about 10,000 manufacturers in the country; more
than 60% of them small or midsized companies located in the
provinces of Shandong and Fujian. Bigger makers are
scattered across Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu.
The majority of suppliers produce all types of jackets,
but those that specialize usually offer high-end models for
a particular activity, such as skiing or hunting.
