The Gymboree Corporation is a specialty retailer operating stores selling high-quality apparel and accessories for children under the Gymboree, Gymboree Outlet, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8 brands, as well as play programs for children under the Gymboree Play and Music brand.

The Gymboree Corporation's history begins with the founding of Gymboree Play & Music in 1976, making it one of the oldest companies in its field. The appeal of the Gymboree brand was so broad that in 1986 Gymboree entered the apparel business—designing, manufacturing and retailing unique, high-quality merchandise for children ages newborn to nine.

Today The Gymboree Corporation's brands include Gymboree Play & Music^®, Gymboree^® retail stores, Gymboree^® Outlet stores, Janie and Jack^® shops and Crazy 8^® stores.

Gymboree Retail Stores

Gymboree has been dressing children since 1986. The brand's fashionable clothing and accessories are designed and crafted to let kids be kids in outfits they love to wear. Available in sizes newborn to 12 years, Gymboree clothing is designed with colorful, high-quality fabrics and detailed touches throughout. Coordinating accessories complete every outfit, making Gymboree kids unique from head-to-toe. In 2011, Gymboree operates more than 630 stores in the U.S. and Canada, as well as an online store at www.gymboree.com.

Gymboree Outlet Stores

Gymboree Outlet offers what their customers know and love about them: unique quality and style—at outlet prices. There are approximately 140 Gymboree Outlet stores (2011) open at premier locations nationwide.

Janie and Jack Retail Shops

Janie and Jack shops offer classic children’s clothing rich in fabric, design and detail for girls and boys up to size 8 online, and up to size 6 in shops. Finely-crafted details such as hand-embroidery, hand-smocking and special prints lend their way to timeless looks destined to be cherished heirlooms. Janie and Jack has an online shop at www.janieandjack.com and approximately 120 shops (2011) throughout the United States.

Crazy 8 Retail Stores

The newest addition to The Gymboree Corporation's family of brands, Crazy 8, offers great kids’ fashion at crazy low prices in sizes ranging from newborn to 14. The Company opened its first Crazy 8 store in August 2007 and operates more than 80 Crazy 8 stores (2011). There is also an online store at www.crazy8.com.
