Federated Direct, the direct-to-customer division of Federated Department Stores, Inc. announced today the appointment of Marilyn Carracino as Senior Vice President for Merchandising of Bloomingdale's Direct.
Ms. Carracino joins Bloomingdale's Direct from Saks Fifth Avenue where she served as Senior Vice President of Sak's Folio and saksfifthavenue.com for the past two years.

Her expertise in fashion and understanding of the direct business will assist in enhancing the position of our luxury brand and expanding its appeal," said Dawn Robertson, President of Federated Direct. "Our enthusiasm for the direct-to-consumer market remains undiminished, and the merchandising experience and leadership Marilyn brings to the division complements our management team and capitalizes on an excellent multichannel market opportunity."
Ms. Carracino will report to Franz Weiglein, President, Bloomingdale's Direct. According to Mr. Weiglein, "Marilyn's background in the upscale marketplace will be enormously beneficial as she manages the overall merchandising direction and strategy of the Bloomingdale's By Mail catalog and bloomingdales.weddingchannel.com."
Prior to her most recent role at Saks, Ms. Carracino served as their Vice President and Divisional Merchandise Manager for designer ready-to-wear and special sizes apparel and coats. She also had approximately ten years experience with Macy's East in various merchandising leadership capacities, including Divisional Merchandise Manager for Dresses.
