Talon International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tag-It Pacific, Inc. (AMEX: TAG - News) today announced that it has hired a 20 year veteran of the zipper industry to serve as its Vice President of Global Market Development. In conjunction, the company unveiled its strategy to target the international markets for its high quality zippers. Several new assembly and distribution centers will be established in large regional markets in concert with local partners, which in turn will allow them to gain market share by serving customers locally. The markets that will be targeted include 15 countries which have a combined zipper sales potential in excess of $500 million and are largely dominated by a single zipper competitor. Negotiations are underway with several potential partners and we expect to have operations up and running in several of these markets before the end of the year."
