BEST FACE FORWARD

Retailers looking for a quick pick-me-up at Industry (212) might want to put their face in the capable hands of one of the makeup artists from the CHANEL counter at Macy’s Herald Square. These pros will work their magic on the show premises, during the three-day show, which takes place Monday, September 29th through Wednesday, October 1st at the Jacob Javits Center. Located at the front of the hall, the CHANEL counter will provide retailers with complimentary “Pretty Fast” express makeups. Four professional makeup artists will freshen up retailers’ looks by applying makeup and skin care products from CHANEL.

“Everyone knows you feel better if you look good, but come show time, it can be a challenge,” says Marilyn Harrington, General Manager of Advanstar Communications’ East Coast Fashion Group. “The offerings at the CHANEL counter help retailers carve a little ‘me-time’ into their busy day, and leave them feeling pampered and refreshed.”

Retailers will have a chance to try products from the new CHANEL holiday collection, which will just be arriving in-store at that time, as well as from the fall collection, in addition to must-have classics. At the end of the express makeup session, makeup artists will provide participants with a face chart with an illustration of the products used and how the new look can be achieved at home. Retailers will be able to purchase CHANEL products, choosing to have Macy’s send to their home or opting to pick up their selection, wrapped and ready to go, at Macy’s Herald Square on their way home from Industry (212).
