An association is a group of people organized for a joint purpose. Factoring is a financial transaction and a type of debtor finance in which a business sells its accounts receivable (i.e., invoices) to a third party (called a factor) at a discount. A clothing company will sometimes factor its receivable assets to meet its present and immediate cash needs.

The International Factoring Association: The International Factoring Association's (IFA) goal is to assist the Factoring community by providing information, training, purchasing power and a resource for the Factoring community. Membership is open to all banks and finance companies that perform financing or factoring through the purchase of invoices or other types of accounts receivable.
