Holding the record for a legendary 3 rise and signature stretch denims, Daniella Clarke designs for an archetypal Pilates body with a rocker-chic social life. No wonder starlets like Lisa Rinna and pop-singer Anastacia took notes from the front row. After a seemingly endless drum roll the show began, and once again the hippy chick designer did not disappoint. Sheer peasant tops paired well with dark rinse cross-weave jeans; caftans accompanied heavily whiskered railroad denims and handkerchief hems defined most dresses. A standout vintage pink motocross jacket interpreted seasonal trends beautifully, and was viewed enthusiastically by Nordstrom buyers in the audience. Showing deft treatment of the current color-block phenomenon, Daniella offered up a punchy series of baby-whale stretch cord separates with contrast piped insets and eye-catching polkadot linings. Her West Coast sales team already indicates strong response to this collection. Metallic platform clogs and slouchy knitting bags accented the lineup along with her licensed tee shirts. With a well-rounded presentation like this, could Frankie B. remain far behind the recent buyout craze sweeping California?
