Deb Shops, Inc. a leading teen apparel retailer, announced the sale of its retail bookstore chain. The 17 store chain, operating under the Atlantic Book Shops and Atlantic Book Warehouse brand names, operated in five states.

Marvin Rounick, President and CEO of Deb Shops stated, "Our decision to divest of the bookstore assets stems from the current success we are experiencing with our core retailing business. At 304 stores and growing, it simply no longer makes sense to pursue the dual strategy of owning both apparel and books.

The Apparel Search Company agrees with the Deb Shops decision to consolidate their efforts on Apparel & Fashion. Apparel is simply the right way to go.
