APL Logistics (APLL), one of the world’s leading global supply-chain management providers, announced it has expanded its network into Brunei.

Working in partnership with local agency, BT Express Company, the Brunei operation will offer full supply-chain management services, focusing in particular on consolidation services for the expanding garment industry there.

Rick Moradian, APLL’s President for Asia & Middle East said, “Given the increased demand from multinational retailers and apparel manufacturers in particular for a broader and more complete portfolio of logistics services in Brunei, which will help our customers better manage their inventory from the factory floor through to consumer outlet, we felt that this was the right time to develop services in Brunei, strengthen our commitment to the country and capitalise on new business opportunities.

“We are pleased to be partnering with BT Express Company in this growing market. BT Express Company’s expertise and market knowledge will provide customers with quality logistics services and integrated solutions designed to add value to their operations,” added Moradian.

BT Express Company is a well-established forwarding and warehousing company based in Brunei, and is a subsidiary of 40-year-old Bee Seng Shipping Company.

APLL Brunei will provide a comprehensive range of consolidation and vendor services including purchase order management, vendor management, documentation, first/last mile delivery and freight management (inclusive of air and sea). Its warehouse facilities in Brunei span up to 5,000 square metres (more than 54,000 square feet).
