Gadzooks and Clear Channel Entertainment Team Up

Gadzooks, Inc. (Nasdaq: GADZ) announced today a five-market agreement with EA SPORTS Supercross and Clear Channel Entertainment's motor sports division. Gadzooks will promote the 2002 supercross season in all store locations with a concentration in five markets, which will include New Orleans, Houston, St. Louis, Detroit, and Dallas. Through the agreement, Gadzooks will receive on-site presence at each of the five venues coupled with advertising utilizing Clear Channel Entertainment's radio stations. The advertisements will drive consumers into any Gadzooks location to register for a chance to win a HONDA CR250R bike and a trip for two to the Las Vegas EA SPORTS Supercross Finals. Runner-up winners will receive HONDA RACING autographed casual jerseys, autographed by the team, and tickets to the event. Gadzooks has expanded its motocross apparel presentation to include an exclusive assortment of t-shirts and jerseys from HONDA RACING (Honda/Universal Licensed Products by Dynasty Apparel), FMF RACING, and NO FEAR. These brands, in conjunction with an all store presentation of FOX RACING apparel, which Gadzooks has carried for over two years, further demonstrate the company's commitment to the Motocross category as a key element of the Gadzooks' customer's lifestyle. In-store marketing will reflect the emphasis on motocross through additional signage and video presence.
