FRISBY TECHNOLOGIES INC. and KENNETH COLE today announced that the Kenneth Cole New York® and Reaction Kenneth Cole ® brands will feature several men’s and boy’s jackets lined with Frisby’s patented COMFORTEMP temperature balancing materials for the fall/winter 2002 season. Both leather and cloth jackets will be available nationally at major department stores, including Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, Kenneth Cole’s company-owned retail stores, and on-line at www.kennethcole.com.

The fall/winter 2002 Kenneth Cole New York men’s leather outerwear collection includes five styles containing COMFORTEMP liners. The Fall/Winter 2002 Reaction Kenneth Cole men’s outerwear collection will feature three leather styles and two cloth styles.

These high tech offerings feature COMFORTEMP fabrics strategically located within the lining of the garment. All COMFORTEMP fabrics contain Frisby’s Thermasorb® thermal additive, a powder-like substance that automatically absorbs, stores and releases heat as required to maintain a balanced temperature. Working like your home’s thermostat, COMFORTEMP materials automatically balance the interior temperature of the jacket depending on the temperature and your activity level. The result is a jacket that keeps you warmer when it’s cold and cooler when it’s warm.

The collection containing COMFORTEMP materials is perfect for today’s urban lifestyle: versatile, multi-seasonal outerwear with a technical edge, but with the stylish sophistication for which Kenneth Cole is famous. The jackets even have a thermometer sewn onto the inner lining so you can see the technology at work. Suggested retail prices will range from $395 to $495 for the Reaction Kenneth Cole jackets with COMFORTEMP materials and $450 and $600 for the Kenneth Cole New York jackets with COMFORTEMP materials.

Commenting on the announcement, Kenneth D. Cole, chairman and chief creative director of Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. said, "COMFORTEMP technology may have been developed for the space station, but we feel that our customers would find it more useful down here on Earth. We are optimistic that these jackets will create a buzz and help increase retail excitement this fall."

Greg Frisby, chairman and chief executive officer of Frisby added, "The Kenneth Cole design team has created a fashionable collection that blurs the lines between technical outerwear and fashion. The jackets are ideal for urbanites and commuters who constantly go in and out of doors and don’t want to keeping putting on and taking off their coats. Kenneth Cole understands what today’s consumers want and they deliver it."
