This season designer Nony Tochtermann transformed her runway into a 1970's-inspired purple disco, replete with campy dancers wearing gold Hot pants (choreographed by longtime friend Paula Abdul) to jumpstart her psychedelic revue. Recording artists Jewla and RA.W added to the excitement. An enormous disco ball sprinkled glittering stardust on fun party dresses, sexy graphic chiffon blouses, and triumphed the return of the high-waisted wide legged trouser. More demure argyle wool suits, sweet cardigan sweaters, hearts-a-plenty, and solid gold reflected throughout this show. Ending the night was an outrageous purple knit gown with pom-pom hem detailing. Truly fulfilling the dress-up fantasy one expects from the colorful Nony Tochterman.
