Ethical Shopping Experience for
Women : Future: Standard Boutique
Future: Standard, an online boutique that provides ethical clothing and accessories, is springing to life this April, as they celebrate their official launch at www.ShopFutureStandard.com. Future: Standard's product offering features brands that are eco-friendly, fair trade, locally made or in some way made with respect to the planet and those who are making the products.
"We do not compromise on style and do not think our values should get in the way of looking great," explains founder, Jessica Althoff. "My dream is that eventually products won't need to be designated as sustainable or fair trade because that is the standard. That dream is the foundation and inspiration for Future: Standard."
Future: Standard features more than two dozen ethical designers, including: Alex and Ani, Alternative Apparel, April Star Davis, Ashley Watson, bleuFEATHER, Clary Sage, Covet, d a c e, Dogeared, ecoSkin, Erin Kleinberg, Groceries, Julie Park, Lena Bernard, LTR Brands, PACT, PI Organic, Pray For Mother Nature, Threads For Thought, Toggery, Topo Ranch, Vicarious By Nature and Yana K. Brands and product offerings will change seasonally.
"Future: Standard has a comfortable, casual design aesthetic and every woman can find something she loves in our store," explains Althoff. "We're stylish, but not trendy. We strive to create a wide variety of items that women can wear to look and feel their best in a variety of settings, from work to a night out to everyday life scenarios. But the most important feature of our store is that women can shop from us confident that everything they purchase was ethically made."
In addition to offering ethical clothing, Future: Standard is a member of 1% for the Planet, which is a global movement of companies donating at least 1% of their annual net revenues to environmental organizations worldwide.
Future: Standard's store is available to shop now at www.ShopFutureStandard.com.
ABOUT FUTURE: STANDARD
Future: Standard offers high quality and ethical women's fashion in classic designs for the conscious-minded 21st century woman. The online women's retailer solely features brands that support the planet and its people by creating products that are fair trade, sweatshop-free and environmentally-friendly.
Future: Standard was founded by Jessica Althoff, while pursuing her MBA in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of San Diego. Inspired by a UK-based ethical apparel company that she interned for during her studies, Jessica realized that she had a clear opportunity to combine her passions for social and environmental responsibility with her love of fashion and style by creating the first ethical online women's boutique.
