Enter your delivery date and step lengths, and get a start and due date for every production milestone.
This Excel T&A calendar works backward from the date you need goods. Each milestone has a number of days and a setting for whether it counts every calendar day or working days only. The start and due dates calculate automatically, steps turn red when they are past due and green when done, and a status column keeps everyone on track. It starts with a typical overseas production plan, and you can set any step to 0 days to skip it.

Type the date you need goods in your warehouse. Every other date calculates backward from it.
Replace the placeholder days with lead times from your factory, mill and shipper. Rename the spare steps for anything else you need, and set unused steps to 0 days.
Set each step to Calendar (every day counts, as for shipping) or Working (skips weekends). Public holidays and factory closures are not included, so allow extra time.
Add an owner and a note to each step, and send the calendar to your factory so you can agree the dates.
Set each step to Not started, In progress, Done or Delayed. Overdue steps turn red automatically. When a date slips, adjust the days to see the effect on your latest start date.
Yes. It is free to use in your own business. Please do not sell or republish the file as your own.
The last step ends on your delivery date, and each earlier step ends where the next one starts. A step starts its day count before it ends, using calendar days or working days.
