As you may already know, we already have a fashion terms section, apparel glossary, and a clothing industry definitions section, so why do we need this section.  Well, that is an excellent question.  Those sections have wonderful educational information, but they do not answer all the possible questions that arise.  In this area of the site, we hope to help make it easier to locate some of the most common questions.  Equally important, we will be expanding the range of “answers” to the questions.  In the “questions” section we will provide additional resources to help broaden the assortment of answers.  We will also provide a method for viewers like you to contribute to the answers.

Here are a few question & answer websites that may be of help for your research.

WiseGeek – You really have to follow this link to the WiseGeek fashion section.  Great resource to help you answer questions that you may have regarding clothing.  Apparel Search is a big fan of WiseGeek.

They want to democratize access to knowledge of all kinds—from politics to painting, cooking to coding, etymology to experiences and obviously fashion —so if someone out there knows something, anyone else can learn it.  Quora makes it easy to get your questions answered, share your own knowledge, and browse the most interesting information people across the world want to share.  You can search the Quora fashion relevant questions. Questions you ask on Quora are distributed to a vast network of people, from experts and authorities to regular folks with relevant knowledge. The answers are then archived and organized so they can be accessed by anyone else with the same question. Quora is one of the best places to find the answers to your questions about clothes, shoes, or fashion accessories.

Answers – this link should take you to the fashion industry section on the Answers website.   You can also use the search engine at the top of their site to delve deeper.

If you have questions that are not covered, you are welcome to ask fashion relevant questions in the forum at the Fashion Industry Network.  You can also ask questions or share with answers in the fashion communities at Google+.

If all the above fails, you can always “Google It”.

By the way, if you are really looking for a good answer, you should ask a teacher.  It may be a good idea for you to attend a fashion school so that you can further your education.

Don't be afraid to ask questions.  Even if it is something as simple as, "what is a belt?"
