MEETS HAUTE COUTURE Famous rock fashions worn by Beatles John Lennon,
Yoko Ono, Bono U2 Madonna. Mick Jagger, David Bowie stage's clothing and
chic couture worn by the biggest names in Hollywood, society circles and
royalty such as Princess Diana HIT a "high note" at the Art Basel Expo's
preview of the star studded celebrity fashions exhibit designed by chic
fashion & beauty maverick Andre Van Pier and 10 other artist.
It is well known that those who travel
to Art Basel Miami Beach for the ultimate art expo show and never see
much of it. While the serious collectors arrive and leave early snapping
up the best of what is available on the booths. The rest of the world
descends on South Beach for a week long celebration of sleepless nights.
Parisian night life King Le Baron is
taking over the hot spot in South Beach "Rain" to host a week long
soirees featuring dancer Oliver Casamayou deck out in Andre Van Pier hot
body couture will lead the willing in a "Justin Time" dance honoring the
musical styling of Justin Timberlake. Outrageous scintillating outfits
designed by Andre Van Pier--the King of Rock 'n' Roll Fashions-," King

Princess Diana was a Queen,"said Van Pier, noting that "she combined an
unassuming aura of royalty with the ultimate taste and style and
simplistic chic. "Diana's love affair with Van Pier's couture began
first when some clothes were called in by Mario Testino Diana
photographer for a fashion shoot. Later the princess was intrigued when
she spotted a Van Pier signature jacket that appeared in a magazine ad
for Macys department store purchased by a chaperone. When Diana noticed
princess Stephanie of Monaco wearing a skinny gold pant in a Bazaar
fashion layout and prompted her to call Van Pier to bring the collection
to her suite at the Pierre Hotel on fifth avenue New York. Andre quickly
rushed in from shooting a beauty commercial in the Caribbean to paid the
royal visit. The rest is history.
Prince William's mother, Princess
Diana, was Van Pier's most revered celebrity client and was widely
photographed wearing his signature AVP navy blazer and both black and

"I can't never say never" commented Van Pier noting that "The Ocean
beach space New Year's Eve ball was the most futuristic event of the
decade featuring outrageous space age customs, cosmic boys and girls
go-go dancers, electrifying bionic women, unbelievable galactic men and
non stop entertaining all night long. There were special appearances by
"Ro-Men" through out the evening, and a galactic spaceship descended at
midnight. The events were filmed by The Sci-fi channel and covered
international press and television news.
Hollywood transplant, Kneau Reeves was
displaying considering interest in Van Pier's revolutionary based "Alien
Technology" luminescence photo art work and the futuristic series of
Michael Jackson space age couture illustrations art for Jackson's much
talked musical comeback. Kneau also discussed Andre's Techno fashions
for rock stars and other Hollywood celebrities noting that was a far out
couture fashion trend that was making waves from London, Paris to Milan
and New York.
Van Pier's avant garde, groundbreaking
fashions continue to startle and astound fashionistas everywhere. He has
applied his fashion savvy in the making of a dizzying array of rock
videos, films and high tech commercials for Intel Pentium, Procter &
Gamble, Nokia, IBM, Ford, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Moet Chandon, Jaguar,

And that is only the tip of the iceberg. Van Pier divides his time
between London, New York and Tokyo and is a highly sought after
consultant for major television commercials broadcast airing on an
almost daily basis in 3 continents.
Van Pier's love affair with Hollywood
began when he designed the infamous red sequin dress for Dustin Hoffman
in Tootsie. Van Pier's the world of rock 'n' roll fashions came in the
early 1980's when he was hired by MTV to create a hip new image for the
station's Veejays. During that time he was introduced to a young singer
named Madonna who was without a budget for an album cover. Van Pier came
to Madonna's rescue. Since that time he has been a creative conceptual

Town & Country magazine was donated to the Cleveland museum by a
generous collector and Melania Kanuss Trump extravagant pesantry fantasy
couture painting was donated by an anonymous collector for Habitat &
Humanity. All of this spectacular art couture was designed by Van Pier
for fashion magazine layouts.
The Fashion & Art Couture will be
display at the ritzy Rock Hard Casino in Fortlauderdale and then to
Paris Fiac Art Fair and to The left bank Art House, on to London's
Frieze Art Expo with a stopover at The new Guggenhim Museum in Dubai
followed by the fashion hall at the Virginia Commonwealth University
School of the Arts in Qatar in the United Arab Emirates and finally to
Tokyo Ginza district art centre.
