Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry : INDA is the trade association representing the nonwoven fabrics industry since 1968. They are an organization committed to energetic action on behalf of the nonwovens industry. Throughout the year, their conferences and action-oriented committees bring industry professionals together to explore the most pressing trends and issues in the areas of government relations, technology, marketing and international commerce. INDA then marshals the resources of member companies to make a coordinated response that is prompt, cost-effective and industry-wide.

What are nonwoven fabrics? According to INDA, "Nonwoven fabrics are broadly defined as sheet or web structures bonded together by entangling fiber or filaments (and by perforating films) mechanically, thermally or chemically. They are flat, porous sheets that are made directly from separate fibers or from molten plastic or plastic film. Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center : The Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center (NCRC) was established as a State/Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (State/IUCRC) in 1991 as a result of a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). While we have graduated from NSF, NCRC continues to receive funding from the State of North Carolina and today has a budget of about $2.00 MM per year devoted to advancing the knowledge in nonwovens technologies for the benefit of its members. The NCRC serves the nonwovens industry through Research, Training, Education and Extension, Engagement and Economic Development.

Asian Nonwovens Fabric Association : ANFA aims to take a more important role toward expanding the growth of the nonwovens business for the benefit of all members of the global industry. Membership in ANFA is open to any corporation or individual which or who is engaged in the nonwovens-related industries and whose place of business is located in Asia.

EDANA is the international association serving the nonwovens and related industries. EDANA provides a comprehensive range of services and supplies its members with the information and data necessary for them to enhance the industry goals and performance. Formed in 1971 originally as the European Disposables and Nonwovens Association, for more than three decades EDANA has grown and evolved, to become today a modern industry association with a European focus and global influence and profile, reflecting the changing dynamics of the nonwovens industry. Today, unifying the diversified interests of over 220 member companies in a unique vertically integrated structure along the supply chain, EDANA is the single, powerful Voice of Nonwovens, representing, protecting and actively promoting the common interests of nonwovens and their related industries throughout the world, with a particular focus on Europe, Middle East and Africa.
