The 92nd Street Y looks at design and fashion this fall. They consider innovators old and new  Ron Arad, Arne Jacobsen, Sergei Diaghilev; we discuss real world fashion with Stacy London; and we examine high fashion with Isaac Mizrahi, Ashley Olsen, Robin Givhan and Cindi Leive.

The subject of a show right now at the Museum of Modern Art, Arad is known for his sculptural, sensual designs and use of innovative materials and technology.

Considered one of Denmark's most influential architects and designer, Arne Jacobsen combines modernism with a Nordic feel for nature. Architech MARC B. SPECTOR talks with journalist MICHAEL KAMINER about Jacobsen and hislegacy.

on Bakst) ran a magazine in Russia called Mir Isskustva (The World of Art). They championed Russian folk art and esthetic values, and they laid out the track that the Ballets Russes would later tread so successfully.

Rashid creates playful, colorful designs with oddball technolgies; Pesce is a conceptualist at the forefront of Italian Postmodernism. What do they have to say to each other? Former House and Garden editor MARTIN FILLER moderates a talk.
