Korda by
Marc Le bihan is a luxury ready-to-wear line, the
fruit of an encounter between Vittorio Venafra, a
man passionate about fashion, continually in search
of new talent, and Marc Le bihan, French fashion
designer and member guest of the Haute Couture
Syndicate.
In October
2007, captivated by the spirit of Marc Le bihan's
work, based on the swaddling cloth and the shroud
(hence the name of the company) the first and last
garment, Vittorio Venafra offered the French
designer the possibility of designing the Korda
collections, a label founded a year previously
(financed by FlashNmore, swiss Society, famous by
its first line: Bvong).
December
2007 saw the first Korda collection by Marc Le bihan
Autumn-winter 2008/09.
This line is
in keeping with the spirit and work of
Marc Le bihan.
It is positioned between his own line of
ready-to-wear and his Couture line : recycling,
customization of vintage pieces discovered in
Parisian flea markets, suits, embroidered dresses,
military outfits, Man Ray's dinner suit revisited,
several versions of dancers dresses (nets, silk
muslins, latex, crinolines).
It was in
sale in showrooms Ready-to-wear in Milan, New York,
Berlin, D'sseldorf and Tokyo.
This
collaboration continues for the collection
Spring-summer 2009
The collection will be in shop from
august 2008 in Boston, San Francisco, Santa F,
Italy, Tokyo.
