She then decided to exhibit her work publicly. David Downton was born in London. Originally trained in graphics, after gradation he launched what has become a highly successful career in Illustration. His natural ability with the human form, spontaneous approach and economy of line rapidly led to him making a name with his work in Fashion. Since 1997 David has become a familiar face back stage and front of house in the most glamourous and prestigious of the Paris Haute Couture shows. His reports from the collections have appeared in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Saturday Telegraph, Harpers Bazaar (Australia) and The Independent. Maria Cardelli
Maria studied fashion and costume design at the Accademia Di Costume e di
Moda in Rome. After working as a clothing and footwear designer in Italy and
the US for about 12 years, six years ago Maria decided to become an
illustrator. Her work reflects her versatility and occasional eccentricity
as former designer, combining various materials, textures and painting. More
recently Maria has directed her attention also towards children illustration
and is working on a children book. |
