Bra Cases

Travel cases that keep bras in shape in a suitcase

A bra case is a molded travel accessory that holds bras in their cup shape inside a suitcase, so underwires and molded cups arrive uncreased instead of dented by shoes and toiletries. The category was created by The Brag Company, founded in 2006 with the launch of the Bra Bag, designed after its founders watched expensive bras arrive at destinations dented and creased no matter how carefully they were packed. The Bra Bag drew wide consumer and media attention, including appearances in Elle, Redbook and other magazines and a place in award-season gift bags, and the company followed it with the Panty Pak, an organizer that keeps clean and worn panties in separate sections during travel. The other makers listed here work the same problem from the same angle: Cup Case, sold under the line Cup Case Your Bras, promises durable, portable protection from crimping, crushing and creasing, and Jacky's Collection of Las Vegas built a fashion accessory line of bra and panty cases. The cases are sold as travel goods, but they earn their keep at home too, keeping drawers organized and molded cups in shape between wears.

Did you know that you can carry your bras as a purse or pack them away in a lovely carrying case?  Now when you go on vacation or a business trip you don't have to worry about making a mess of your intimates.

The Brag Company: The Brag Company was founded in 2006 with the launch of the now famous Bra Bag. The Bra Bag was designed to solve a nagging problem that many women faced; expensive bras getting ruined in their suitcase when they traveled. No matter how well packed, they always seemed to arrive dented and creased. The Bra Brag provided a fashionable yet practical way to protect their undergarment investment on the road and at home. The unique and patented Bra Bag has received wide consumer acclaim and substantial media attention including appearances in Elle, Fashion Magazine, Star Magazine, Redbook and Scoop as well as being a hit in the swag bags at the Golden Globes and the Oscars! Following the release of the Bra Bag, The Brag Company launched a companion product, The Panty Pak, to keep panties organized in "clean" and "not so clean" sections during travel.

Packing Bras Well, With or Without a Case

The case does the protecting, but packing order still matters. Molded bras should be stacked with cups nested, never folded in half with one cup inverted into the other, which breaks down foam and creases the cup permanently. The case then goes in the suitcase where it will not sit under the heaviest items, typically flat against the back or in a corner, with soft clothing around it. Non-molded and soft-cup bras travel easily without a case and can fill gaps around it.

At home, the same cases double as drawer storage for molded bras, keeping cups nested and separated from hooks that snag lace and mesh. Travel retailers and lingerie shops both stock them, and the makers listed here sell direct, including the matching panty organizers that complete the set.

Common Questions

Why does a bra need a case for travel?

Because molded cups and underwires are the most crushable items in a suitcase. Packed loose, a bra is pressed by heavier items, and molded foam cups dent and crease in ways that do not fully recover, while underwires can bend or poke through fabric. A molded bra case holds each bra in its natural cup shape with a hard or structured shell around it, so the pressure of the suitcase lands on the case instead of the cups. The protection matters most for expensive bras, which is the problem the Bra Bag was designed to solve.

How many bras fit in a bra case?

Most travel bra cases hold several bras stacked cup-in-cup, typically three to six depending on cup size and case model, with larger cases made for larger cup sizes. Stacking molded cups inside each other is the space-efficient way to pack even without a case, and a case is shaped around that stack. Shoppers should check the case dimensions against their cup size before buying, since a case sized for smaller cups will not close over larger molded cups.

What is a panty pak, and how is it different from a bra case?

A panty pak is a soft organizer pouch for underwear rather than a protective shell for bras. The Brag Company's Panty Pak, launched as the companion to its Bra Bag, keeps panties organized in clean and not-so-clean sections during travel, solving the sorting problem rather than the crushing problem. Jacky's Collection sells bra and panty cases as a matching line. In a suitcase the two work together: the molded case protects the structured garments, and the pouch keeps the soft ones sorted.
