Welcome to page 2 of the Children's Clothes Guide, the Apparel Search directory of child-size apparel and fashion accessories for kids. The guide is organized alphabetically by clothing topic, and this page covers the middle of the alphabet — topics beginning with the letters H through N. The main Children's Clothes Guide page covers topics A through G, and Children's Clothes Pg. 3 completes the alphabet with topics O through Z and our retailer directory.

Each letter below opens a directory page of the children's clothing topics that start with that letter — garments, footwear and accessories organized so parents, retailers and researchers can go straight to the category they need. Children's sizes are usually grouped by age band — baby sizes in months, toddler sizes such as 2T to 4T, then numbered sizes for younger and older children — and because sizing varies between brands, the height and weight charts published by each manufacturer are the most reliable guide to fit. Fabric matters just as much: soft, washable knits dominate everyday children's clothing because they move well, layer easily and survive frequent laundering.

A Note on Children's Sizes and Fabrics

Children's clothing is sized differently from adult clothing. Baby sizes are labeled in months, toddler sizes add a T (2T, 3T, 4T), and older children's sizes are numbered, often with slim, regular and husky fits. Because brands cut their patterns differently, the same numbered size can fit differently from one label to the next — height and weight are more dependable than age when choosing between sizes. For fabric, look for soft cotton and cotton-blend knits for everyday garments, reinforced knees and adjustable waistbands on pants, and easy closures such as snaps, zippers and hook-and-loop tabs on garments for younger children. Care is part of the product too: most children's basics are machine washable, and checking the care label before buying saves surprises later.
