A directory of the fabric mills Apparel Search lists for bamboo fabric, with the caution that defines this category: a fabric sold as bamboo is not always what the label suggests, and the difference is in how the fiber was made.
Apparel Search can NOT guarantee that the companies on this page produce a true bamboo fiber or fabric. You would have to do your own testing to be certain. That warning stood at the top of the original directory and it stays at the top here, because bamboo is the fabric category where the name on the order and the fiber in the cloth most often part company. Two very different materials travel under the bamboo name, and a buyer who does not ask which one a mill is selling cannot know what they are getting.
The first material is mechanically processed bamboo: the woody bamboo stem is crushed and the natural fibers are extracted and combed out largely by mechanical means, producing a coarse, linen-like natural fiber. The term page on mechanically processed bamboo defines that route formally. The second, far more common material is bamboo viscose - bamboo pulp dissolved chemically and regenerated as viscose (rayon) fiber. It is soft and fluid and legitimately made from bamboo feedstock, but the finished fiber is regenerated cellulose, and regulators in several markets require it to be labelled as viscose or rayon from bamboo rather than simply bamboo.
Where the fiber is genuine, bamboo fabrics are bought for softness and moisture handling. Bamboo viscose is notably smooth and cool against the skin, which is why it fills orders for bed sheets, towels, underwear, socks and baby clothing, and mechanically processed bamboo offers a drier, more linen-like hand for woven goods. Bamboo also grows quickly with little irrigation compared with conventional cotton, which is the honest core of its environmental appeal - but that appeal belongs to the plant, and how much of it survives depends entirely on the processing route, which is again why the processing question comes before the price question.
This directory sits inside a wider bamboo trade on Apparel Search: the Bamboo Fiber Directory covers the fiber upstream, the Bamboo Yarn Directory covers yarn producers between fiber and fabric, and the Fabric Directory hub and the Fabric Manufacturers Directory place the mills below among all fabric producers. Terminology for the whole category is in the Fabric Definitions list, and the mills' machinery context is the Textile Machinery directory inside the Textile Industry Directory.
The listings below are the complete set for this category as Apparel Search carries it: three mills, all in China, each linked to its own profile in the Fabric Mills by Name section. No listing has been added or removed. When you contact a mill, ask first which bamboo route it runs - mechanical or regenerated viscose - what fiber content and blend it will certify on the invoice, and what test report supports the claim; then verify on your own production fabric before repeating any bamboo claim to your customers. Downstream, the trade runs through Clothing Industry Factories, Yarn Factories, Fabric Retail and Fabric Wholesalers, with the Fibers Directory, Fashion Industry News, Clothing Industry Employment and Conversion Charts alongside. Thank you for using the Apparel Search Fabric Mill Directory.

No. Apparel Search cannot guarantee that the companies listed on this page produce a true bamboo fiber or fabric. Buyers must do their own testing to be certain, and should ask each mill whether its bamboo is mechanically processed or regenerated viscose before ordering.
It is bamboo fiber extracted from the crushed stem largely by mechanical means rather than chemical regeneration, giving a coarser, linen-like natural fiber. Most soft bamboo fabric in the market is instead viscose regenerated from bamboo pulp, which is a different material with a different hand and labelling rules.
