Frotex : The history of Zakłady Przemysłu Bawełnianego Frotex S.A. began in the middle of XIX century, when Samuel Frankel built linen fabric factory on the area of present Frotex in 1845. Soon his factory took over competitive, bankrupt company and became the monopolist in the region. The production of first terry fabrics and towels started in 1903. The 1st World War stopped dynamic growth of the factory, which products were known on German, English, French and American markets. By virtue of Nuremberg agreement company was taken over from inheritors of Samuel Frankel in 1938, while they were forced to emigrate. After the 2nd World War the reconstruction of the factory were started and finished in 1949.

Sapphire produces items of exceptional quality, design, and durability. Their mill production begins with choosing the best cotton for the product and then expertly weaving it on one of their state-of-the-art high speed looms. After the fabric is taken for finishing, it is ready to be cut and sewn in their factoy.

Tirotex : The aim of the finishing factory is to produce fabrics of good quality. It is a place where fabrics assume their final appearance, width, design and colour requested by consumers. Today the finishing factory of JSC Tirotex produces the following kinds of fabric: bleached, plain dyed and printed (with printed design), fabrics with seersucker effect, as well as jersey and terry fabrics. TIROTEX» situated in Tiraspol is one of the largest textile enterprises in Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The enterprise was established in 1973. Spacious, light workshops and service departments of the enterprise are placed in the square of 58,3 hectares. Productive capacity of the enterprise is more than 206 millions of square meters of finished fabrics per year.
